No one can dictate a poet's writing process, but sometimes a little guidance can give a writer the inspiration and tools to produce something much more powerful and profound. DLIMH author Jayne M. Rose-Vallee is inspired by a book of verse her mother read to her as a child called "Patsy Dowd's Book of Treasure Poems and Recitations." Take a look at the images below; this book is so worn and loved! If you have been to one of our school readings, you will know that Jayne often recites some of her favorite verses from this very book. This week, we we are excited share a few of Jayne's favorite!
